Our client, a highly modern company with future-oriented products in the field of E-World/Energy is looking for Senior Trader – Electricity Trade (m/w/d) team member. It is an unlimited permanent working contract and immediate start.

Senior Trader – Electricity Trade / Power Portfoliomanager (m/w/d)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• You work in the electricity trading department and optimizing the portfolio of flexible assets (including batteries and renewable energies) in the supply range from coming years to very short-term, highly volatile electricity and grid services markets
• Your tasks are developing and improving the algorithmic trading to maximize returns by applying and monitoring state-of-the-art trading strategies (e.g. real options models)
• You will manager and optimize portfolio positions, asset limitations taking in account market conditions and corporate objectives.
• You work closely with risk management and market analysis teams to improve trading decisions.
• You collaborate cross-functionally with our dedicated trading tech teams to drive robust and automated trading operations
• Reporting and presenting trading results, including making recommendations to senior management.

QUALIFIKATION

• You have a degree in energy economics, business administration, finance, or a related field. Candidates with different trading backgrounds or candidates with energy trading experience but no economics degree are also welcome.
• You have several years of experience in commodity trading ideally with focus on power (electricity trading)
• You have ideally first experience in optimizing renewable and/or battery portfolios
• You are familiar with algo- and option trading technologies and algorithms is a plus.
• You have a deep knowledge of energy trading markets, market mechanisms and regulatory requirements.
• You have strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly interpret complex market data and turn it into profitable decisions.
• You have experience with state-of-the-art trading systems and tools
• You are a team player mentality with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, results-oriented environment.
• You are Fluent in English – written and spoken – the ability to speak and read German is a big plus
